Using Your Sixth Sense

This Journal entry begins with the words printed on my tea bag. My tea bag said: "Your head must bow to your heart."

As a teacher, I know my sixth sense is the most important. While I honor the other five, I know that our sixth is the biggest in the scope of sheer power if utilized on a regular basis. Like a muscle, we can use it or lose it. It is the most divinely connected, like an always-available telephone line to our higher consciousness. It is always ready, just like a trusted friend who will gladly drop everything when you call.

I also know that the heart center is our largest energy center. Vibrationally, it is natural to come out of our heads and into our hearts. But most of us stay locked in our heads, analyzing, thinking, moving along as society tells us we must. Now don’t get me wrong. We’re here in Earth School now and we all get stuck in our ego or fear based selves more often than we like to admit.

I have a hunch, a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach...
hello sixth sensory vibrations!

Here are a few examples to help open yourself to your Divine gifts:

Be Present. Yesterday is over and tomorrow isn’t here yet. In all you do in every moment- be there! Savor it, breathe into it, acknowledge it and make the most of it. No matter what you are doing, do it with presence.

Breathe. But I am, you say! Consciously paying attention to your breath several times each day helps us to connect to our sixth sense. I find it to be an instant stabilizer. Whether happy, sad, furious, anxious, nervous, elated, it’s fun to breathe deeply and see what happens, feel the shift.

Meditate. You do not have to set aside a long period of time each day. You would be amazed at what a mere 5 minutes can do. I’d be willing to bet 5 minutes will be very healing and will lead to another 5 minutes and so on. Before you know it, you will realize that you do feel better when you recharge by connecting to your higher self.

Pay Attention. My teacher, Sonia Choquette, defines the subtleties of Divine energy: What am I feeling? How does this circumstance make me feel? What is my heart saying? What is making me feel tired, worn out, sick, or excited, happy, carefree, and fulfilled? I have a hunch, a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, a light bulb moment, a chance encounter…hello sixth sensory vibrations!

So there you have it! The beginning of your journey into six sensory living is quite easy and simple...exactly the way Divine Spirit always intended it to be. I guarantee that if you start with these simple practices, you will notice a shift in the way that you look at your life.

While the above may seem too easy, I beg to differ. This is the foundation of your true self. Focusing our inner camera lens to help us establish a relationship with our higher consciousness. Everyone’s path may be a little different, but we are all ultimately headed in the same direction.

Begin your journey!

Hi their i have recently separated from my wife and it has brought out my spirituality in a big way. I new i had psychic abilities before but because of looking for inner piece and comfort it has just come to the fore. I want my wife back and she , as spiritual as she is is very negative and says she wont take me back. My daughters are my strength and they say that mum will come around and i have to believe them and stay positive. But sometimes its very hard to stay focused and i at thye moment am trying to find out about me and where this journey of spirituality is taking me. Having a belief is keeping me sane and being involved in spirituality is keeping my head above water. Where and where will my life be in 3 months

It may not have been the separation from your wife that has brought out your spirituality, but that it was time to "wake up."
We all have psychic ability, our sixth sense, but many choose to remain 5 sensory and ignore this powerful tool! Perhaps by separating you finally had time to step away and go inside to this place of inner peace and comfort to seek answers.

This road you are both traveling is long and full of pot-holes and you did not get here overnight. You are being asked to look within for a reason. Now give her time to do the same. As spiritual as we all feel we are, sometimes anger and hurt can seem overwhelming and take up way too much space in our ego self. She may need the same kind of time you needed so let her have it. Whatever you have been able to move on from; she may still be working through.

Your daughters appear to be the wise ones in the family. What you need to stay focused on is you, and your joy. Your inner voice is asking you to take the time to get to know yourself and enjoy yourself. I repeat this all the time. Until we love ourselves honestly and truly, we won't find it elsewhere. We complete ourselves.  Anything else that happens to find its way to us in the meantime is pure gravy!

It appears that your work together is not over. However it may take some time to move in any direction together. I am hopeful that within 3 months time you both may have cleared out the "gunk" that caused this "time out" but if it takes a longer ( or shorter) amount of time, then remember to go with the flow. You are going to be growing no matter what.

      The very best to you...

I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time.
